Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
